NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING MINISTER LINDIWE SISULU WILL LAUNCH WOMEN’S BUILD IN NEW REST, CAPE TOWN, TO CELEBRATE WOMEN’S MONTH 01- 09 AUGUST 2007.

The National Department of Housing Minister Lindiwe Sisulu in partnership with Thubelisha Homes and the National Portfolio Committee on Housing will launch Women’s Build in New Rest, Cape Town, Western Cape on August 01 2007 to celebrate women’s month.

For the duration of the build (01- 09 August 2007), aimed at bringing together women to celebrate their achievements in the housing sector, ten houses will be build for women caring for orphans, elderly women and women with disabilities.

Construction of the ten houses will be headed by women contractors assisted by approximately 200 volunteers per day.
