The PHP Directorate will be hosting a National PHP workshop on the 25th-26th August 2010 at Kieviets Kroon, Pretoria. The main objective of the workshop is to bring together the PHP Sector Support Agencies and the spheres of government to engage on challenges impacting on the implementation of the Programme and come up with recommendations on how to upscale PHP Nationally.
The objectives of the workshop are:
1. Ready access to dedicated funding to enable communities to play a meaningful role in community driven development processes
2. Develop and streamline user friendly systems, processes, tools and templates required to upscale implementation of PHP.
3. Identify strategic interventions with spheres of government and other stakeholders to facilitate the rapid release of suitable well located land for PHP.
4. Government and PHP stakeholders to commit to performing agreed roles and responsibilities necessary for enabling up-scaling and effective implementation of PHP.
