Deputy Minister to launch National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) Transformation Charter

In line with this year’s theme for International Women’s Day, “Be Bold For Change” which encourages the creation of conducive environments empowering women to thrive in all spheres of life, the Deputy Minister of Human Settlements Zou Kota-Fredericks will launch the NHBRC Transformation Charter tomorrow, 08 March 2017.

The Charter seeks to address issues that relate to the advancement of equal economic opportunities in the human settlements value chain in order to optimise meaningful participation of vulnerable groups including Women, Youth, People living with Disabilities and Military Veterans.

More than 150 women in the construction industry, led by the Acting CEO of NHBRC Ms Thandiwe Ngqobe are expected to attend the event to honour and appreciate the significant strides being made to ensure the participation and contribution of women in the sector.
