The Deputy Minister of Human Settlements Pam Tshwete, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture,Land Reform and Rural Development, Mr M Skwatsha together Executive Mayor of Central Karoo District Municipality, Cllr Gayton McKenzie and other local mayors will convene a Community Imbizo to unpack governmental programmes and plans aimed at enhancing integrated service delivery and creating job opportunities.

The Community Imbizo is expected to tackle issues that include human settlements,agriculture, safety and security, economic development, water and sanitation, environment and social development. This is part of government interventions to accelerate service delivery through the District Development Model (DDM) championed by the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.

Prior to the Community Imbizo the Deputy Ministers and Mayors will visit the Local Economic Development and the Municipal Infrastructure Grant projects in Laingsburg local municipality.
