Honouring women struggle icon(s) to mark the year of OR Tambo centenary celebrations

Human Settlements Deputy Minister, Zou Kota-Fredericks and her counterpart from the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform; Deputy Minister Mcebisi Skwatsha; will in-line with this year’s theme for International Women’s Day, Be Bold For Change, host a women’s dialogue event in honour of Anti-Apartheid activist Mme Mandu Mildred Ramakaba-Lesiea.

Ramakaba-Lesiea, the first women to be held at Pollsmoor prison, will be honoured by CPUT with a Doctorate in Public Management for her contribution to a democratic South Africa.

This auspicious occasion is expected to be attended by Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Nomaindiya Mfeketo and Prof Hlengiwe Mkhize, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services; struggle veterans and activists.
