Human Settlements Deputy Ministers Visit Ntokozweni Village In Mthatha, Eastern Cape

Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation Deputy Ministers, Pamela Tshwete and David Mahlobo will visit Ntokozweni Village outside Mthatha to provide urgent guidance and support to deal with the lack of basic services in the area, and get a briefing about the pollution of the Mthatha Dam.

Ntokozweni Village, a community of about 400 households, along the R61 route between Ngcobo and Mthatha in ward 17 of the King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape inherited the historic legacy of a large backlog of water & sanitation, housing and infrastructure services.

The Deputy Ministers will be joined by the Executive Mayor of OR Tambo District Municipality: Cllr Thokozile Sokhanyile and the Executive Mayor of King Sabatha Dalindyebo Municipality: Cllr Nyaniso Nelani.
