Media Alert - 02 November 2010
Human Settlements Deputy Minister Zoe Kota-Fredericks will on Friday, 29 October 2010 launch an early learning centre in a disadvantaged school in Coligny, Mafikeng.
The early learning centre was built by Afri-Sam during the Human Settlement’s August Women’s Build initiative in the North West that saw over fifty houses built. This forms part of the Department’s commitment to sustainable human settlements by affording people homes in areas with schools, clinics, sports fields and other social amenities.
First National Bank is also sponsoring five computers, a laptop, a printer and a fax machine to the school. The bank first came as a partner in building some of the homes as part of Women’s Build and these will also be handed over tomorrow.
Members of the media are invited to attend the event.
