Media Statement - 06 December 2013

The Minister of Human Settlements, Connie September invites members of the media to a ceremony where she will be handing over newly built houses at Cosmo City.

The houses to be handed over were built as part of the Financed Linked Individual Subsidy Programme (FLISP), which is aimed at assisting people who fall in the
“Gap Market” because they either earn too much to qualify for an RDP house or earn too little to qualify for a home loan from the banks.

The Cosmo Programme was spearheaded as part of a partnership between the Gauteng Provincial Department of Human Settlements, City of Johannesburg and Basil Read Developments, which is the company in charge of the Cosmo City development project.
