The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu will handover houses and more than 2000 title deeds to the N2 Gateway homeowners

The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, MP, will on Thursday, 17 December 2015, hand over more than 2000 title deeds to the N2 Gateway homeowners and new houses to the beneficiaries ahead of the 2015 Christmas.

Launched in 2004 as a pilot project, the N2 Gateway Project is expected to deliver 23 000 housing opportunities to more than 110 000 households.

To date, there are about 9015 Title Deeds registered for the N2 Gateway project. About 6384 Title Deeds have already been issued to beneficiaries.

Minister Sisulu will also receive over 100 Youth Brigade members recruited in Cape Town who have undergone soft skills training in the Free State Province. The Youth Brigade is a product of a Youth Accord signed in 2014 by the Department of Human Settlements and youth organisations.

Minister Sisulu is expected to be accompanied by Zou Kota-Fredericks, Deputy Minister of Human Settlements and City of Cape Town Executive Mayor, Patricia De Lille.
