Minister Kubayi And MEC Maile To Assess Progress At Human Settlements Projects In Gauteng

The Minister for Human Settlements Mmamoloko Kubayi and the Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements, Urban Planning and CoGTA Lebogang Maile, will tomorrow, 30 August 2021 visit West Rand District Municipality to assess delivery of sustainable human settlements.

Minister Kubayi and MEC Maile are expected to assess progress and do site inspections at some of the biggest integrated human settlements projects in Gauteng. These include Elijah Barayi in Merafong, Montrose and Dan Tloome in Randfontein and Brickvale in Krugersdorp.

As part of the Women’s Month activities, Minister and MEC will also hand over more than 90 title deeds, mainly to women beneficiaries.

The Minister’s visit to Gauteng forms part of her Provincial visits since her appointment as the Minister of Human Settlements. Last week she was in KwaZulu Natal where she, among other things, received updates on the Provincial delivery targets for 2021/2022 and handed over housing units to qualifying beneficiaries.
