Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi will be in OR Tambo District Municipality in the Eastern Cape to be part of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Stakeholder Engagement. This engagement's primary aim is to give status reports on the disaster and mud house interventions following floods that ravaged several parts of the country.

The Minister is to table a report that outlines what the Department of Human Department will do to further assist the Provincial Department to provide to the needs of communities. The IDP meeting will be attended by Mayor’s within the OR Tambo District and MECs of Human Settlements.

The visit to the Eastern Cape will also culminate in the convening of the last Human Settlements MINMEC (Minister’s meeting with MECs) for the year. The meeting will also be attended by representatives from SALGA and HODs who will be outlining delivery reports of their respective provinces.
