Minister Sisulu bids farewell to the outgoing Minister and Deputy Minister of Human Settlements
The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation has bid farewell to the outgoing Minister and Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Ms Nomaindia Mfeketo and Ms Zou-Kota Mpeko who served the country during the 5th Administration.
“You have served the country and the people of South Africa well. Through your immense contribution the dignity of our people has been restored, some of our men and women now have a decent shelter over their heads”, said Minister Sisulu.
“As we continue to serve the nation in the 6th administration, our work will be easier because of the sterling work you have done over the period”, added Sisulu.
The outgoing Minister and Deputy Minister used the meeting with Minister Sisulu to brief her on the work done during the 5th administration. They also thanked the staff for their support over the years.
Minister Sisulu and Deputy Ministers of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Mr David Mahlobo and Mrs Pamela Tshwete have also used some of the days during the week to receive briefings from the management of the newly formed department. The briefings have sought to among other things, highlight areas of priority over the next few years, and identify challenges facing the department to deliver on its expectations as well as to come up with solutions aimed at accelerating service delivery.
