Minister Sisulu To Visit Construction Site For Temporary Residential Units

The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu, will today, 24 April 2020 receive a status update on the work that is being done to ensure the densely populated informal settlements are de-densified in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19. She will also receive a report on the situation in Lawley.

The Minister will also visit the site where Temporary Residential Units (TRAs) that are being built to accommodate the residents of Plot 323 in Wilgespruit who have been living in tents for almost four years.

Minister Sisulu will be joined by the MEC of Human Settlements, Corporate Governance and Urban Planning, Mr Lebohang Maile and Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Geoff Makhubo.
