President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Saturday, 26 October 2019 hand over more than 250 houses at Hillside View Integrated Human Settlements project in Mangaung, Bloemfontein.


The project which is expected to yield 600 houses upon completion, was initiated in 2016 in an effort to provide decent accommodation to deserving beneficiaries. It is an integrated Human Settlements project with different typologies and consists of 50 Military Veterans houses, 18 Land Restitution units, 532 Breaking New Ground (BNG) Homes and 250 bonded houses.


Over the years the Department of Human Settlements has delivered over 4 million housing opportunities. The houses to be handed over on the day will be an addition to over 300 000 houses already delivered by Free State Government over the few years.


The President will be accompanied by the Minister of Human Settlements Lindiwe Sisulu, Free State Premier Sefora Ntombela, Deputy Ministers of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Pamela Tshwete and David Mahlobo, Free State MEC for Public Works, Infrastructure and Human Settlements, the Mayor of Mangaung Metro Municipality Olly Mlamleli as well as other Members of the Executive Council.
