The South African Cities Network (SACN), in partnership with the National Department of Human Settlements, the Department of Cooperative Governance, National Treasury, Ethekwini Municipality , South African Local Government Association (SALGA) and the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN) will host the South African Urban Conference in eThekwini.

Officials of the various metropolitan municipalities along with delegates from different stakeholders will attend the conference which will take place on Monday, 30 October 2017, as part of the Ethekwini Urban Week which includes a celebration of World Cities Day on 31 October and the hosting of the African Forum for Urban Safety (AFUS) event from 1 to 3 November.

The conference will focus on communicating, building collective intelligence, and coordination around the implementation of South Africa’s urban agenda.
