The Deputy Minister of Human Settlements - Pam Tshwete and the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements in Free State - Mxolisi Dukwana will be key note speakers at the South African Women in Construction (SAWIC) & BE Women Imbizo in Welkom, Matjhabeng Local Municipality.

The Imbizo will be hosted under the theme: “We are still shining the spotlight on rural Women”. This programme is aimed at empowering women in the sector, especially those living with disabilities and in rural areas. It will also serve as a platform to recognise women excellence in the sector, to attract and retain talent and also to promote diversity of thinking and way of doing things in the construction industry.
