COMMUNITY IMBIZO TO REINFORCE GOVERNMENT COMMITMENT TO THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND THE CREATION OF INCLUSIVE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Human Settlements Deputy Minister, Tandi Mahambehlala, in line with this year’s Human Rights Month theme: “Deepening a culture of social justice and human rights” , will convene a community Imbizo to foster dialogue around service delivery issues, consider how human rights intersect with other pressing challenges and ensuring that we combat scourges such as racial discrimination, xenophobia and all related intolerances as well as gender-based violence and femicide, which are undermining our human rights culture.
The Imbizo, commemorating and honouring those who fought for our liberation and the rights we enjoy today, will also be attended and addressed by Deputy Minster in The Presidency, Nonceba Mhlauli, Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Andries Nel and Njabulo Nzuza, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.
