DEPUTY MINISTER MAHAMBEHLALA AND MEC VASS TO EMBARK ON A TITLE DEEDS FRIDAY CAMPAIGN IN THE PIXLEY KA SEME DISTRICT

The Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Tandi Mahambehlala and the Northern Cape MEC for
Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA), Bentley Vass, will
embark on a door-to-door hand over of title deeds to the rightful owners in Kuyasa, Umsobomvu Local
Municipality. The municipality is situated in the Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality, Northern Cape.
 

In August 2025, the Department of Human Settlements, re-launched the Title Deeds Fridays Campaign,
a nationwide drive aimed at mobilising all stakeholders to support the title deeds restoration
programme.
 

The campaign seeks to restore dignity, strengthen tenure security, and promote economic empowerment for beneficiaries.
 

Deputy Minister Mahambehlala and MEC Vass are expected to be joined by the Executive Mayor of Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality, Cllr Rhoode Itumeleng and Mayor of Umsobomvu Local Municipality, Cllr Mzwandile Toto.
