MINISTERS SIMELANE WILL LEAD THE DEPARTMENT TITLE DEEDS HAND OVER CAMPAIGN AND 67 MINUTES FOR MADIBA IN MAMELODI, CITY OF TSHWANE, GP
Minister of Human Settlements, Thembi Simelane, together with the MEC for Human Settlements in Gauteng, Tasneem Motara, will lead the department Title Deeds Restoration Programme in Mamelodi, one of the largest townships in the City of Tshwane, established in the 1950s after its occupants were forcefully removed from Lady Selbourne and Marabastad by the apartheid government using the policy of racial segregation.
The Minister and the MEC, joined by the MMC for Human Settlements in the City, Alderman Maluleka, will hand over more than 300 Tittle Deeds to their rightful beneficiaries, 18 of these will be handed over to elderly beneficiaries to commemorate the former late President, Nelson Mandela’s birthday and the 30 years anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa..
Following the handover, Minister Simelane, MEC Motara and MMC Maluleka will participate in the department 67 minutes for Madiba to give the Mathakgale family home a face lift.
