The Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Ms Tandi Mahambehlala, together with the Mayor of Oudtshoorn Local Municipality, Mziwoxolo Tyatya will on 29 July 2026 handover title deeds to the rightful owners at Toekomsrus in Oudtshoorn.  

 This is part of a nation-wide Title Deeds Restoration programme aimed at registering more than 80, 000 title deeds between 2024 and 2029.   

 The Deputy Minister will also engage community members and handover emergency housing toolkits to households affected by recent fire disasters in the area.
