DEPUTY MINISTER MAHAMBEHLALA TO HOST A DIALOGUE ON YOUNG WOMEN IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT
As part of the 2026 Women’s Month celebration, the Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Tandi Mahambehlala will on Monday, 31 August 2026, host a dialogue on young women in built environment in the City of Tshwane.
Under the theme: “Building Pathways, Opening Doors and Shaping the Cities of Tomorrow”, the dialogue will bring together accomplished leaders, professionals, and emerging young women to engage on leadership, transformation, access to opportunities and the meaningful participation of women within the built environment.
The Department of Human Settlements and its entities remain committed to women's full participation throughout the delivery value chain, including a minimum of 40% procurement spent benefits women-owned enterprises.
Deputy Minister Mahambehlala will be joined by the Ms Tamlyn Bouwer, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC), Ms Mimi Masal, Divisional director of operations at Cash Build and Dr Ella Ford-Mthethwa, Chairperson of the International Relations Desk for the Black Management Forum (BMF) Tshwane.
