The Minister of Human Settlement, Thembi Simelane, together with the Mpumalanga MEC for Human Settlements, Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Speed Mashilo, will lead the Title Deeds Friday Campaign at Tokologo Township, in the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.

The nation-wide Title Deeds Friday Campaign seeks to accelerate registration and issuing of title deeds to the fully subsidized housing beneficiaries, thus ensuring security of tenure and home ownership. Over the Medium-Term Development Plan, 2024-2029, the department has set a target to register 80 000 title deeds.

Minister Simelane and MEC Mashilo will be joined by the Executive Mayors of Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, Cllr Mhlonishwa Masilela and the Executive Mayor of Nkangala District Municipality, Cllr Thomas Ngwenya.
