SEXWALE TO ADDRESS THE 12th INTERNATIONAL HOUSING AND HOME WARRANTY (IHHW) CONFERENCE AND HANDOVER HOMES IN CAPE TOWN.
Minister of Human Settlements Tokyo Sexwale will deliver a keynote address at the 12th International Housing and Home Warranty (IHHW) Conference to be held in Cape Town from 26-28 September 2011.
The Conference will look at issues ranging from international housing policies, managing risk and protecting consumers, warranty provision and enforcement, technical innovation and will also feed into the climate change conference to be held later this year.
To mark the inaugural hosting of the (IHHW) conference in Africa, Minister Sexwale will also hand over housing units to beneficiaries of the Legacy project.
The Legacy housing project, launched by Minister Sexwale during this year’s Mandela Day celebrations, is an example of how public-private partnerships can deliver functional, eco-friendly and vibrant communities to the less privileged.
